Based on the comprehensive ESG scoring conducted by Sompo Asset Management Co.,Ltd., we have been selected for the first time as a constituent of the "SOMPO Sustainability Index."
Participation in Initiatives
United Nations Global Compact
In March 2025, we signed the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest initiative for building a healthy global society. We have been working to achieve a sustainable society by using the 10 principles on human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption as guidelines for corporate activities.
TCFD
Since endorsing the TCFD recommendations in December 2021, we have developed a framework for disclosing climate change-related risks and opportunities from a financial perspective.
Clean Ocean Material Alliance
Through our participation in the Clean Ocean Material Alliance (CLOMA), which aims to solve the problem of marine plastic waste, we promote initiatives for recycling plastic resources by coordinating across industry borders.
Challenge Carbon Neutral Consortium (CCNC)
The Challenge Carbon Neutral Consortium is a co-creation-based consortium that aims to accelerate companies’ decarbonization efforts and establish a decarbonized society by encouraging consumers to become more aware and committed to decarbonization. SUGI Holdings Co., Ltd. has been a part of this consortium, hosted by the Japan Research Institute, Limited, since 2023.
